Comment Policy

KarenAndAndrew.com allows Comments on our website in order to encourage feedback and productive dialogue with our readers. Whenever you post a comment on our Website, we trust that you understand and abide by the Comment Policy outlined here.

We’re only able to answer questions in the comments section as our free time allows. Given our other demands (e.g., book touring, speaking, and writing), we unfortunately can’t anticipate that we’ll always be able to answer every comment.

It’s required to use a valid email address when you post a comment, although your email address will not be viewed publicly, nor will it be shared.

Our philosophy is: This is our personal website, not a public forum, and we wish to see a community created and maintained that is a celebration of food and flavor, and a reflection of our values. If you’re able to “play nice” and add value to the discussion, we welcome your active participation. Otherwise, all posts are subject to editing and/or deletion at our discretion – including those that do not fall under our definition of “playing nice” or that include “commercial” comments or links to URLs.

To paraphrase SimplyRecipes.com’s Elise Bauer — as we certainly couldn’t put it any better than she has there — we would ask that if you would like to leave a comment that you think of this website as our family’s home and that you wouldn’t say anything on this site that you wouldn’t, as an invited guest, say in someone’s home. Constructive comments are welcomed, while rude, mean, obnoxious, and/or spam-like comments are not — and will be deleted.

But we have faith in the goodness of humanity — and trust you won’t prove our faith misplaced if you’d like to be part of this community!
